Citera
Frances Baines www.uvguide.co.uk testar reptillampor. These "new generation" lamps appear to be, in my opinion, a very significant improvement upon the Reptisun compact lamps that have beenon sale until now.The spectrum has no non-terrestrial UVB (which was present, and was acause for concern, in the older versions) and in the UVB range thespectrum is more like natural sunlight, with a threshold wavelength ofaround 295nm and a higher proportion of short-wavelength UVA, as well. The UVB irradiance of the 10.0 lamps at suitable basking distances is moderate (UV Index levels at 8 - 12" resembling those found in theshade on a sunny day). The combination of a moderate output and a UVB spectrum similar to sunlight suggests that when the lamps are used responsibly at suitable basking distances, they should promote the normal synthesis of vitamin D3 and they are unlikely to be harmful to eyes or skin. The UVB irradiance of the 5.0 lamps is considerably lower, but these should likewise promote the synthesis of vitamin D3 in the skin of species with low UVB requirements. These lamps produce much more visible light, and with better colourrendering, than previous versions. Like all UVB fluorescent lamps, however, these do not produce a sufficiently intense or balanced fullspectrum light to provide "daylight" illumination and should be used together with incandescent lamps or metal halide lamps, over the basking area. These new lamps can be distinguished from old stock by the new instruction sheet in each box, as I mentioned before. These sheets have been redesigned, and supply new positioning instructions (minimumdistance recommendations) relevant to the different output from the newlamps. The quickest way to identify these is to look for images of, and advertising for the ZooMed Deep Dome Lamp Fixture on the leaflet. This product does not feature on the older leaflets. Citera
I do not like the spectrum they use. There is abnormally low wavelength light.I am now testing the new Arcadia D3+ compact lamps and tubes, and these seem to have a very good spectrum, very much like the Reptisun 10.0 tubes (rör). It will be interesting to see how these work out in a vivarium. Also, the Arcadia D3 Compact Lamps and the Lucky Reptile Compact Lamps have good spectra, although slightly less UVB.Reptisun från Zoomed har nu som framgår av tidigare inlägg förbättrat sina kompaktlampor, men det kan vara lite svårt att bedömma om dom är nya eller av den äldre typen. It would appear that both the ReptiGlo 10.0 and the ReptiGlo 5.0 use exactly the same UV-emitting phosphor, in almost the same quantities. The two 26-watt lamps, and the two 13-watt lamps are similar in their output as well as having the same UV spectrum. This seems curious, since one might reasonably expect a 10.0 lamp to be emitting approximately twice as much UVB as a 5.0 lamp. Although it is not specifically stated anywhere in the ExoTerra literature, traditionally, 10.0 and 5.0 have been understood to mean UVB at a level of 10% and 5% of total output, where the total output is (UVB + UVA + visible light) Citera
